This is a recurring situation for many of us, we have no idea if we can actually wear a really cool hat or cap without looking absolutely and positively stupid. Wearing a hat that doesn't fit you not only makes you look ridiculous but crushes your confidence as soon as you see people staring at you, wondering how did you actually think this choice was a good idea.
So here I am again, with my lists: Three pieces of advice which will tell you if you can actually wear that hat without being looked at in the way you don't want to be:
#1_ Everyone has different sized-heads, so, the rule is simple, just make sure it fits you (if it's a huge beanie and your head is tiny, it might look super...well...weird). It seems stupid said like that, but I feel like nowadays young people just seem to forget that rule. It might be the most beautiful cap you've seen in your life, but if it cuts half of your vision away, then don't buy it.
#2_ Don't be afraid to ask around you for opinions. If you are shopping alone, take pictures and send them to your friends, there's always a way ! People love giving advice and expressing their personal tastes and beliefs, be open-minded .
#3_Sometimes, it's not about the size, nor the style, nor the price, but about the colours ! So if you're blonde, mustard might not be the best and if you're a redhead then, also try and avoid flashy yellows.
So here we are, those are just little things I thought of when I heard a friend talking about how they hated hats because they did not feel like they could pull them off. Now, the best way to go about this is obviously not to care what others think as long as you feel perfect in your own skin. At the end of the day, what really matters is how comfortable you are with yourself and what you wear, and not what people in general think of you.
